Starting out in the finance sector with 14 years at Barclays and the Halifax, I was instrumental in the customer merger of Leeds Permanent and the Halifax. I then moved to the Services industry and spent 10 years at Atos and over three years in IBM. I specialised in building effective and high performing programme teams to deliver significant change including transforming the Service Delivery function within Monitise (a mobile banking and payments application provider), building the testing programme for a key NHS national software rollout and creating a consistent, measured and successful project delivery function for the Highways Agency. I was also regularly diverted to problem projects and programmes in order to get them back on track.
After working in large blue chip organisations for many years, I was frustrated by the lack of agility which sometimes manifested itself into the customer experience. I had been tracking Project One for a number of years due to its focus on helping customers deliver complex change, not just in IT, but for the business as a whole, and also due to their ranking as one of the best small companies to work for. This compelling mix of getting into the heart of change, delivering with unencumbered pace and working for a company that truly values my contribution was too good to miss. I was determined to be part of the success.
