Simon Murfin

I started my career with Accenture before moving to Standard Chartered Bank, where I built and led an international business transformation team.  During these 20 years I worked on or led a broad range of programmes and projects, from those focused on a single department to every employee in a global business, across multiple industries and all of the different project disciplines e.g. portfolio / programme management, high level design / target operating models, process design, IT systems, change management, and workforce effectiveness.  Keen to run a business, I then spent five years at a bio-tech start up, firstly as the COO and then as the Managing Director, before joining Project One several years ago.

What I enjoy most about working at Project One

In summary, it’s the refreshingly simple approach – everything is geared towards providing our clients with the right skills and experience, the appropriate (for them) blend of “hands on” support and / or leadership, working with their teams to help them deliver their objectives, and helping their organisation to become better able to deliver complex programmes and projects on their own in the future.

 

In practice, this means I joined a carefully curated team of highly experienced individuals with a common background but their own specialisms, who work for an interesting mix of UK and international clients, and who all work together in a business that genuinely puts the client first and keeps everything simple so we can spend all of our time focused on supporting our clients.
