Internal Communications and Marketing Manager

We are looking for an experienced B2B internal communications and marketing manager with equal passion, energy and ambition to grow this entrepreneurial and innovative team. This role joins a small Marketing Team which runs all the business’ internal communications and external marketing activity.

The role

Reporting into the Head of Marketing, with key customers including the Senior Leadership Team, Director of Market Proposition and HR Director, this role requires a generalist skill set and will be involved in a number of key areas. There will be an approximate 70/30 split, 70% internal communications and 30% marketing activity, including the following duties:

Responsibility for the following internal activity:

Internal Communications: we spend a lot of time on communications, so we need someone with strong copywriting skills, attention to detail and grammar and editorial knowledge, along with experience of running Mailchimp campaigns from creation through to analysis of trends. Additionally, there is regular use of virtual platforms such as Teams for companywide calls and events. We are always looking to improve our processes and this role has the responsibility to evolve the overall internal comms strategy.

Content management: collating knowledge and content from across the Consulting Team provides a differentiator in our offering. This role will be key in helping establish our new content management process via SharePoint. Duties will include, supporting the development guidelines and standards to support the creation of our consulting content, creating exemplar template documents for new content, review and quality assurance of content developed by the team, and supporting the management of content and knowledge across the business, including the transition to the SharePoint Portal.

Internal Events: as we always have a remote team, our internal events are very important to keep in touch and keep the team engaged. Experience of end-to-end event management is required, virtual and face-to-face, working alongside our agency partners to continuously develop the quality of our productions.

Engagement and reporting: we have built a strong foundation to measuring team engagement. The role will manage this process end-to end, working with the HR Director to improve our engagement methods and reporting.

Supporting our Marketing Manager with the following external activity:

Website: our website currently runs through WordPress. We work with an external agency for any technical needs, so a focus on functionality of the website and maintenance would be required.

LinkedIn: we have a strong following on LinkedIn, which remains our primary social media tool. We will continue to grow our activity, so experience of using LinkedIn is desirable.

Awards and PR: this role will provide admin support to expand our PR activity, including industry awards and external events.

Marketing admin: an element of this role will be to keep things structured, such as monitoring budgets and organising team meetings.

Experience within the consultancy world is not essential, a B2B background is desirable.
