Focus on change management

Change doesn't happen unless people make it stick

In our experience, there needs to be a clear focus on three main areas to ensure that business change is successfully addressed on any transformational initiative.

  • Business Engagement – taking the organisation on the journey of why the change is required, making sure people understand it and their role, and supporting them through the transition to the new ways of working into BAU and beyond into optimisation
  • Business Readiness – delivering the key items to enable the change to be implemented, for example the definition of new processes, organisation and role changes, training, knowledge transfer and business testing
  • Benefits Realisation – creating sustained focus and attention on delivering the target outcomes and embedding the change effectively across the enterprise.

The application of rigour and a detailed approach across these areas of change management delivers successful business change.  Without this  you will fail to deliver the required benefits.

Deep change management expertise is required to drive the above activity and this must be integral to the wider programme team and the integrated plan. Investing up-front to drive the right business engagement and activity will pay back many times by lowering the risk of delays or poor implementations.

“What a year it has been.  So proud of our function and thanks for all your support.  We have an amazing team and am looking forward to continuing the transformation next year.”
