I have over 20 years’ experience of managing projects and programmes. Over the last nine years with Project One I have been involved with, and managed a vast array of project and programme activity. I have managed portfolios of projects for major Banks and construction companies, and managed significant IT programmes for FTSE top 30 aerospace and utility companies. In 2014 I and another Project One colleague managed the transition of over 20,000 employees from XP to Windows 7 for a major aerospace organisation.
What I’m most proud of in my time in Project One
Both personally and professionally I have been most proud of the work I did at Centrica in helping them engage a new Data Centre provider. This was a two year piece of work which included the development of contractual schedules, managing out the existing provider, and finally, managing the migration from the old data centres to the new. This was a great challenge drawing on my experience in managing suppliers, developing and negotiating contracts, and managing large programmes. The data centre migration programme received an industry award recognising its successful completion. It’s great to think that I played a part in this programme’s success.
