The happiest 5k on the planet!

Rick Phillips and his family team took part in The Color RunTM around the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on the 5th July.  They took part to raise funds for local charity Visyon, where Amanda, Rick’s wife, works.

Based in Congleton, the charity does vital work supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people in the Cheshire area.  Visyon’s 2015 Stand Tall campaign is all about raising funds to help reduce a 16+ month waiting list of 400 children in the area who need support now.

The Color Run is inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi.  Participants line-up at the start-line dressed in white and cross the finish-line plastered in multi-coloured powder-paint.  There were thousands of runners and walkers of all capabilities, all having a ball – one big party.  Entry fees to the run go to the NSPCC.

We were delighted to support Rick and his family in this fund raiser.  They raised an impressive £600 and Project One are proud to have supported them too with a £250 donation.

Well done the Phillip’s!
