Why Eco Vadis matters

Rising importance – Eco Vadis has emerged as a leading player in the ESG ratings and rankings arena since its inception in 2007. Its growing prominence can be attributed to several key factors:

  • Quality and Usefulness – Eco Vadis employs a robust assessment methodology that evaluates companies across four critical dimensions: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
  • Heightened Stakeholder Expectations: Investors, customers, and other stakeholders now demand transparent reporting on sustainability practices. Eco Vadis provides a pragmatic approach to achieving ESG excellence, helping companies meet these expectations.

The Eco Vadis Methodology – Our Eco Vadis accreditation is the result of a rigorous evaluation of our management system’s performance. The assessment encompasses three key management pillars:

  • Environment: Assessing our environmental impact, resource management, and efforts to reduce emissions.
  • Labour & Human Rights: Evaluating our commitment to fair labour practices, diversity, and employee well-being.
  • Ethics: Scrutinising our ethical conduct, transparency, and anti-corruption measures.

Our carbon reduction journey

We have already met our ambitious goal to halve our carbon emissions by 2025, and are now aiming Net Zero Carbon by 2050. While we recognise that some emissions may need to be offset due to the nature of our business, offsetting remains a last resort. Our primary focus is on emission reduction at the source. Achieving this requires a fundamental shift in behaviour, which, in turn, necessitates significant investments in our people and purpose.

Investing in people and purpose

Behaviour change lies at the heart of our sustainability journey. We are committed to nurturing a workforce that understands its role in environmental preservation. Our purpose remains steadfast: contributing to a greener planet while delivering exceptional value to our customers.
